I graduated from the University of Chicago with a bachelor's degree in philosophy. My thesis was on aesthetics, the philosophy of beauty and taste.

My quest for good and beauty continued as a Medical Scholar at the University of Illinois, where I received a dual degree in medicine and law.

I completed my clinical training at the Division of Plastic Surgery of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, which is one of the world's most prestigious programs for leaders in plastic and reconstructive surgery.
